For those in the States, next week Public Television is airing pt.2 of a series called Nazi Mega Weapons (not a great title), this particular being called U-Boat Pens. It promises to be fairly interesting, the series uses well set dramatic enactments of scenes, so we should get some nice U-boat visuals as well as information.

Thanks for the info. The way PBS works, it may be on several times in different time slots.

Irregardless of the value of Public Television (and not making any kind of statement upon it to one degree or the other ), in the Chicago area the "U-Boat Pens" episode is airing tonight.

I just thought there was a non-zero chance that there would be folks in this community that might appreciate it, even though I'm sure it will be (or maybe even is) available on the web somewhere.

Cool thanks for the info! Wanted to know more info on this topic and how effective repairs were on the U Boats away from dry docks.

Final review, it was somewhat interesting, but not as many technical details as I'd hoped, and their drama- though well costumed & set -seemed a bit forced. I'd give it a 6, 6 1/2 on a 1-10. If nothing else was on, I would probably watch it again.

I dislike the idea that anyone lumps the word and definition of Nazi with anything related to the German Navy and especially the U-Boats.

Just because you are a solider or sailor did not make one a Nazi just as being in the American military does not make one a republican or Democrat.

They criticize anyone comparing the Union army of America to war criminals for their atrocities to their own countryman and call it war but lump all of Germany as Nazi ... it is sad how americans can think sometimes.

I do not fault PBS but I do fault the writers of the piece for it's title and insinuation.
