Quadrillian is a word - Paypal should know!

Chris Reynolds of Delaware Co., Penn., a regular eBay buyer and seller, was shocked when he saw his monthly PayPal balance was $92,233,720,368,547,800 or $92 quadrillion. When Reynolds, who buys and sells car parts and other items online, checked his account directly, the balance was back to zero.

And trillions and trillions more than the measly $73 billion fortune of Carlos Slim, the richest man in the world.

So he's not, nor ever been a quadrillionaire, but received a statement saying that his accound was in credit by said amount. But it wasn't. So not a story, 'Slight Clerical Error by Paypal' doesn't grab the same headlines though.

But you can bet your bottom dollar that if he was in debit by that amount it'd not be cleared up next time he logged on, and probably not for weeks after!

If you look at his paypal statement, it clearly shows that his balance was a negative 92 quadrillian. The first reporter who wrote the story made a mistake. :nope:
