Good day everyone.

I've just completed a 24-hour patrol in my assigned grid. I am considering venturing up to try and attack any convoy's that might be in the area north-east of Iceland.

There are no grid area's assigned this far north.

Will GWX 3.0 or the game, I'm not sure which, give me "credit" - for lack of better term, for any enemy shipping sunk in this area?

I have never ventured out of any grid area's on the map. So I don't know.

As in real life, the game doesn't care where you sank something. It only cares about the vessel's status (axis, allied, or neutral), the tonnage, and the date of sinking. You get the renown credit or penalty either way based on those criteria.

GWX doesn't change that, but you can increase or decrease the credits and/or penalties by editing the basic.cfg file.

Thank you good sir, for the prompt reply.

I FIGURED as much, but wanted to make sure, before plotting my course to the north.

Wishing Fair winds and following seas, your way.

Thank you!

This effort north of the patrol grid area was pointless, but I plan on returning later in the war.

Currently I am in October '39 and the only ships I saw or had contact with were anchored in the Whaling station.
