Watched Das Boot yesterday-> broke out the old books on U-boats today-> Neeeded to get a simulator.

Sorry, this is going to be the absolute dumbest question yet, but I've got a feeling others besides myself have been there so I figured I'd ask.

I bought SH5 earlier today off of steam and spent hours trying to get all the right mods installed to make it playable. I ended up joining the forums and donating to get access to the bonus mods and Sober's mega mod just to avoid the headache.

My trouble's really began there. With Sober's mod you have to skip the tutorial, which is fine with me, I like figuring things out as I go... But I can't plot a course.
Just to make sure I wasn't crazy I uninstalled the mods and quickly ran through the tutorial in the base game. All you need to do there is click your sub and set waypoints, easy peasy. Re-install the mods and every option to set waypoints is grayed out. Hell I cant even see my sub on the map! It's getting a little frustrating! Even the checkbox in the map options to allow you to click on your sub is grayed out.

It's got to be the simplest thing, and I wouldn't ask, but every SH5 tutorial I've found is for a different mod/ui/etc.

It's 3am, help a very frustrated old man out.

Trevally.

Hi Jenkens and welcome o SH5:salute:

Sobers mod list turns the game into a more advanced sim - with a steep learning curve. :yep:
To fix the issue you are having you need to remove a mod called "real nav". This mod stops you from using the map to point and click where you want to go

Sink em all:arrgh!:
