View Full Version : New Squib help! (crew sleep/exclamation/fatigue)

So, after many of the community have pitched in to get me under way.

Version : SH3 with one patch (1.4b patch with US/DVD) along with the StarForce removal and 5 dll's replaced. Atleast, I'm running now though!

I'm in need of a fix/patch/download of some sort.

First mission is to patrol an area for 24 hours. I get there and weather is bad can't see anything at 0 dark 30 hours. Anyhow, all the sudden my entire crew have exclamation points and now need rest. Why do I have to baby sit my crew rotation for sleeping ?

This is beyond annoying and Ubi-soft should have made it so that this is only a factor if you pull the men out of rotation with no sleep. Btw, when is a crew member going to sleep with a destroyer launching depth charges anyway? (That didn't happen but just saying).

So, what patch/fix/file or what do you have to do. What do I need to get so that I don't have to have crew tired the entire trip.

Thanks.

Hi Knightime,
I'd say installing SH3Commander is your best bet.
Not only can you change the crew fatigue options, but it comes with lots of nice goodies as well.
JScones wrote this program, used by many and Sailor Steve has added a load of real ship names, credit to both of them.

Or you could just change the basic cfg file...
if you want to do it manually.

p.s.
Also look into the super mods like GWX (Grey Wolves eXpansion Mod) and NYGM 3 Super-mod they improve the game beyond belief.

Until recently I played the stock 1.4 version of the game. And yes, constantly changing up the crew can take away from the fun of the game.

Grey wolves takes care of it for you. You still have to keep an eye on it though.

Manually edit your /DATA/CFG/Bacic.cfg to eliminate crew fatigue entirely.

Replace all positive values with zero.
Leave all negative values (found only in comp6 and 7) unchanged.

I recommend using SH3 commander as there are sveral fatigue options including a no fatigue mod. you can also create your own fatigue options if you so desired.
