Morris the cat is running for Mayor of Xalapa in eastern Mexico.

His campaign slogan is catchy. "Tired of Voting for Rats? Vote for a Cat."
His owner Sergio Chamorro says 'He sleeps almost all day and does nothing, and that fits the profile of a politician.' :yep:

He does seem qualified and probably the best candidate. But being a cat, he would not listen to his 'master' and would treat everyone as his staff.
I'd vote for him, heck he can be PM over here, can't do a worse job...although I think he might get into a few fights with Larry. :hmmm:

He's got my vote.
I'll vote as early and often as he wants. :haha:

Campaign slogans are nice but don't always reflect what the candidate's real policies are. I think I'll wait until I've heard a speech or two before deciding. Maybe even a TV interview.

Very bad for the secret services for that country, i take it the cat will either step back, or be killed.
Rats will always prevail :03:

The rats are so tough in some parts of Mexico that the cats have to go around in pairs to stop themselves from being mugged! :03:

Is it a bad sign that I have more faith in a cat to do a good job as a politician than the actual politicians we have in office now?
Morris the cat has been a write in candidate for many years now.

When it came to foreign policy, Morris was just a big puss. :D
