Hey All,

Found this site when decided to get SH V and got into modding somewhat with the help of a lot of nice gamers there.

Question #1). I've looked, but have seen where does one get updates 1.4 or 1.5??(is there a 1.5??).

#2). I have this version of SH IV(1.3 ver) via Steam. Are mods for IV compatible with Steam, or are mods like SHV, not compatible with Steam??!! I use to have a hard copy of IV and I am going to look for.

Thanks,

As far as I know, the only place to get v1.5 is the UBI site. If you get v1.5, you don't need v1.4.

Our good friends at UbiSoft decided we yanks should buy the last/latest patch for SH4 (the 1.5 version). It comes with adding the German side of play to the Pacific (something they had designs on doing all along with SH4).

Marshall Ney, if I were you I'd clean out the Steam version of the game from your computer, and purchase a CD disk version found at iNetvideo (http://www.inetvideo.com/catalog/product/view/id/53992/s/silent-hunter-iv-wolves-of-the-pacific-gold-edition-used-on-pc-at-inetvideo/) for under $9.00. Received it within 3 days of purchase.

That's still higher than buying SH5 for only $6.49 (tells you which game is more desired, you'll pay more for the more popular game).

You can get the U-Boat Missions 1.5 patch on Steam... :03:

Marshall Ney,

I would get v1.5 on disc. It is well worth the investment, since most of the mods require v1.5.

I've got a downloaded copy and it's stored in my Amazon.com Digital Locker in case I need to download it again.

Works for me.

Whatever floats your boat I guess.
