HELP NEEDED

Help! I was playing normal career mode, when i got the opportunity to upgrade to a Gato class submarine! I happily accepted and went on to load my next mission. After loading I wanted to check out my new sub so i tried to go to the bridge but the button didnt seem to work! So I went to external view and saw that my CONNING TOWER/BRIDGE WAS MISSING!!! I was basicly just a floating hull with a deck gun attached! :( I run vanilla 1.4 patch Silent hunter 4 :( Anyone got a solution? :hmmm:

I don't know just what is causing your problem there, but I would suggest you get SH4 v1.5 with Uboat missions (ideally the "Gold Edition on disc). Then you could install the mega mods such available here. They not only fix bugs present in the stock game, but add many desirable elements of their own.

are you using any mods with your game?

often a save and reload fixes strange things so try that

I had this happen once and there is nothing I could do but restart a campaign. Nothing is perfect and sometimes there is simply a line of code that gets translated wrong by the physics engine or the graphics card.

It is most likely a texture issue that isn't getting loaded but you simply never know.

Thanks for the help. I guess I'll restart the campaign. It isn't a texture issue though, because i cant go on the bridge and i cant raise the periscope :( Also its strange that if i go on a quick mission and choose the Gato-class submarine the same issue happens :hmmm: Oh well its just some glitch... It may have to do with the files that govern the sail construction. It may get confused as to time of war, which sail should be in use and some gap in code so that none show up.
