I didn't play sh4 because it was pacific based. But, what are these uboat addons? Does that allow the player to play in the atlantic? Are there mods that add the type II, VII, and IX?

What's the deal? :rock:

The U-Boat add on is exactly that. You are a U-Boat operating in the Atlantic, Caribbean and Mediterranean theater.

Please pay attention to the loading order if you are using Operation Monsoon. There are instructions on how to load it for the best game play. If you start early in the war, 1939 you will get a type II U-Boat and then have to work your way up from there. Your allowed to start later in the war if you like. There are also single missions you can play as U-Boats.

I am currently running U-Boats only and My latest mission has me patrolling of the North Carolina Coast. Last night I spotted and sank and USCG Cutter, among merchants I spotted and caught sight of a US Navy Blimp conducting Anti submarine operations.

I know it is a dark photo but it was really dark this night.

If I'm not mistaken with the SH4 Mission Editor you can play a mission anywhere you want as Uboat or US Navy.

Confirmed that you can do U-boats in the expansion in much mire then the Pacific. And I get to kill Gerrys in the Pacific and well as Japs :)

I didn't really care for the new jap/german planes that narc on my position when above water.

Germans can also have surface vessel and air support.
The Expansion is definitely worth it.
