Well, any plans I had to visit Iceland are now mute!
To think when I was a kid, the biggest porn thrill was finding a single playboy hiding somewhere at a relatives house.

I have nothing against homosexuals...they can do what they want. Me personally, I don't support it but I have nothing against them.
I'm Catholic. It's not for me...I don't support Gay Marriage because it goes against my beliefs.
You can facepalm me all you want. I probably deserve it. I probably deserve a bit more certain days of the week.
It's no secret that the one thing I'm good at is putting my foot in my mouth. Then again, you have to see that this thread is not a serious discussion about sexual orientation. I don't aim to have a serious discussion about my belief system here. I don't care what people here do in their free time...I don't care if they're gay, homosexual, or bisexual....I don't care what race they are even if some of my comments suggest otherwise.
Now if you have anything directly against me please tell me. It's true that I'm not politically correct. It's true that I'm an idiot sometimes. Aren't we all? Nobody is perfect. I understand that. I'm the perfect example. If I've offended you or anybody you know, I apologize.
"Turn the page and move on." is what my coach tells us when we screw up. I screw up a lot. He lost his voice yelling at me during a game this season. At the end of the inning, (this is my first season playing for this coach) he says "The strongest fires make the strongest steel. I don't see you making that mistake again."
I learned more with this coach than I have with any other. It's going to be sad when I graduate and I'm not able to play for him anymore.
Once again, in big font for all to see. Not sarcastically, I mean it.
I apologize. :yep:

Yes we are. I'm one of the best idiots I know. In fact I'd say I'm a perfect idiot but I know nobody's perfect.
The fact that you own up to your mistakes already puts you ahead of everyone who refuses to. We live, hopefully we learn. :sunny:

Then stop acting as if homosexuality is a disease and something negative?

Perfectly fine, we all have our opinion and should express it - as long as we don't urinate in other peoples cornflakes.

Your self-reflection-abilities seem to be functioning though, a good thing :O:

Yes, this thread might be not serious, yet the thing for me is: If others say things like you just did, I put a hook behind it and know (or assume) they don't mean it/are joking. In your case I often struggle to see if I am reading the lines of a narrow minded homophobic racist (I summed it up here and yes, sometimes It seems like that to me) or if you are actually a 'good guy' who, how did you say, just have his foot in his mouth somet... a lot.
Anyways, if you do not care - why do talk so much about topics like that? (in a negative attitude, not just stating an opinion)
Now if you have anything directly against me please tell me. It's true that I'm not politically correct. It's true that I'm an idiot sometimes. Aren't we all? Nobody is perfect. I understand that. I'm the perfect example. If I've offended you or anybody you know, I apologize.
True, we all are idiots sometimes, I'm another prime example, believe me. No, you did not offend me since I'm neither Mexican (you slipped in another thread today, remember?) nor gay, yet I don't like it if people disrespect people for, well, being different in what ever way.
One important thing: 'Political correctness' is really a disease in my opinion and I wasn't talking that or demanding it - I talk about respecting other people. Simple and basic. No need for PC, yuk...

Yes, I am an idiot too sometimes. I try not to be, but my inherent flaws make perfection impossible, both in thought and deed. I too am Catholic, and as such, a Christian too. I try to behave as a Christian should and don't always succeed. But that doesn't mean I should give up on running the good race.:03:

Been there, done that. It's most embarrassing because you're the one who went for a special tuning in the first place. Try an open-E or G tuning for slide. That'll really getcha!

I have an ounces worth of understanding. It's been two years since I took a music class where I learned something and it's been one year since the last class I took. I cant stand the lady who's teaching music at our school. She ruined it for me. She retired and they're hiring somebody new but I don't have any more intrest.
Truly a Woman Hitler, that lady was. :yep: The girls music class told us to give her a chance... We did...for about two months...until the first concert thing where it was made obvious to the crowd that she didn't give a flying fadoodle about the boys music class. She gave us this little simple short song to play on the xylophone things and the girls had this big elaborate thing.
She proceeded to tell the crowd "I chose these music pieces based on the ability of the class." We were perfectly able to do the more complex stuff. We had just had a teacher who was awesome. The Hitler teacher came in and started taking credit for all the stuff we were doing when she came into play.
We hated her....We hated her class...We didn't give her any more chances after the 2nd month of school. It impossible to make anybody else understand by this post... She called the boy's class dumb publicly at least 3 times. She even called us stupid once in class but that's a completely different story because we kinda...might have....caused it by playing the wrong parts in practice on purpose...
Music is ruined for me atm... I'll have to take Art instead. :salute: People like Steve who play(ed) in a band do some cool stuff. I'd like to do that....but I have too little patience for it. There's a kid I know who can play like 50 songs on the piano by memory. He went to the Missouri BETA Convention and won second place in special talent.
I'd like to do something...I just don't know what kind of instrument I'd want to play and since I'm not hardcore-interested in music it'd take some time for me to learn it.

That's more than fair. I hated history for a very long time because of one teacher who managed to make it so very boring. You'll either change your mind, or you won't. Either way you'll find something that turns you on. :sunny:

Military History/Fiction and general 20th Century History are the big school "turn-ons" for me. I had thought that I had a pretty good understanding of the 20th Century wars and history until I joined Subsim...that's when I knew that I hadn't even made a dent in the knowledge base.
Now to add a turn on for the thread's topic.... :hmmm: Some of these posts have to be relatively OT. I've been trying not to derail too much lately. This way, I get both derailed and OT. :salute:

Precisely why I haven't learned an instrument.

Those teachers are not teachers. They're paycheck collectors for baby sitting. They are the lowest of the low in the educational system. I had an instructor in a post secondary trade school class who taught by reading the book out loud.
He didn't like my after class critique when I told him that we all know how to read, when do you plan to start teaching?:hmmm:

But I had to tune it in drop D to play Hans Zimmers 'Time'.
Also, I discovered my silly mistake and it will never happen again, so I made progress, that's good, isn't it? I am actually really proud about that.

Ah...the stuff we did to this lady....
She had strict rules...and we tried our best to find the loopholes to make her mad. She had actually been a well known music teacher at other area schools until she retired. We hired a retired teacher...that's how bad we needed a teacher for Music.
I remember this one time...
She had a rule about no eating in class....so we took our snacks outside the classroom, ate until the bell almost rings to start class, and threw all of our trash in a trash can inside. She'd take one look at that and start yelling at us...but we didn't eat in the classroom....
She was worried that somebody would see it in her trash and get her in trouble. That was just one little thing we did to make her mad.
There was a kid in the class that we called Kojack. He would do all kinds of stuff. After she called us stupid in public, he would act that way in class. He'd "not understand" a simple part....he'd play the wrong one on purpose... Another kid even pulled a chair out from underneath Kojack and the teacher got up and yelled for like 5 minutes. Her first reaction?
"YOU COULD'VE KILLED HIM! HE COULD'VE DIED! WHAT IN SAM HILL ARE YOU THINKING?! LUNCH DETENTION FOR A MONTH!!!!!!"
The school principal got wind of this, laughed, and told her to calm down.
The kid got lunch detention for two days. :rotfl2:
The teacher also found the need to call Kojack at home that night and ask if he was okay. I know that you can get hurt this way...but Kojack was in on it and he couldn't hurt his tailbone the way he "fell"
:rotfl2: We hated that lady.
EDIT: Chewing gum while singing was another one. She hated gum...we'd have a pack of gum to pass around behind our backs and one person at a time would chew gum until they were told to spit it out...then somebody else would start up...
