Have a good one everyone...I returned from Turkey very early this morning to a beautiful card and dvd movie from my daughter.
At lunchtime my boy rang me from Monte Carlo (where his ship is currently moored) and told me to take a little something out of his bank account to buy a gift.

If I was her, I'd have gotten you Taken 2. :O:

Isn't that nice? Usually sons ask their dads for money but now it's the other way around. :arrgh!:

The movie was the latest Die Hard movie, I didn't have the heart to tell her I watched it on the flight out a fortnight ago
As for the boy...seeing as how he forgot the event last year (in fairness he was at sea) I might just take him up on his offer

The latest Die Hard was alright. It was full of cliche action stuff. I saw it for free with movie tickets won on the radio.
Your son can be forgiven. I've recently learned that there's no cell phone service out to sea. :) I also learned what seasickness feels like. :88)

Fair point but tbh, when he's on watch he is in charge of the bridge and has access to sat phones etc. plus the fact he's just purchased the latest iphone and has almost worldwide unlimited calls, texts and internet access.
He's a good lad though and always tries his best to keep his old man happy.
