I have seen some streams, where a cruiser got ripped by a single 16 inch gun salvo.

In general it looks good but some issues were noted:
- hp system.
- balancing/match making.
- higher level carrier's fighters rape lower level ones.

Yeah, I do hate the HP system that World of X has, compared to War Thunder it's quite gamey and silly. I might give this a bash, or I might wait until WT brings the naval part in for its maps, at least with WT it's all together in one map rather than separate like the World of X series.

Apparently there is still a slight chance of getting an invite to partake in the Open Beta - which would be immense.

Looks like a really fun game btw - I love WOT and I can overcome the arcade "hp" bar for ships - heck it was in SH5 originally. I'll leave my simming for Silent Hunter and my arcading for World of Warships.

It would be funny if they did include PT boats, because the Japanese never really developed this type of boat. I wonder how WoW would twist that?:hmmm: (The design was not successful)

Got in to the Closed Beta and I have to say that this is some fun - if for nothing more than having to "relearn," movement techniques (i.e. you can't peek and poke around an island very well :doh:).

Can't wait to run up the IJN Destroyer side of things so I can torpedo the snot out of things!

So, any of the rest of you get into this game yet?

I've been enjoying it, could use some performance optimization, but that might just be my PC not being quite up to spec for it, still pretty fun, working on Japanese Battleships primarily though trying out most things, after all it is beta.

I've been having lots of fun with this Beta.

This afternoon I launched a full torpedo salvo on an unsuspecting Kongo with my Clemson using concealment from the islands to get close :arrgh!: :haha: :har: :D.

Priceless: 6 torpedo hits + a few rounds of 4in. RIP Kongo.

Im glad i'm not the only person having fun with World of warships. I was afraid to say it considering how much hate there is now for wot. :D
Currently running up the USN destroyer line and the IJN Battleship line.

I'm loving the "flow," of the game - constant movement, constant scanning while trying to maximize your firepower going out vs. dodging what is coming in and then trying not to run into islands on top of all of that. Focusing fire is a must in order to remove enemies quickly, so you learn to look for such times to lend a few guns to the issue.

Random pubbie teamwork seems to be more "there," as compared to WoT, but maybe I'm just getting lucky with my games or the player base is more primed for this concept owing to the select nature of testing.

I'm running up all 3 Japanese lines right now, so my average ship Tiers aren't fantastic (Tiers 3-4 typical), but the best part is that even despite having a lower tiered ship in a match, you can still compete and even do well from time to time; shells are shells and you've only got two types to chose from - and yes, I'm generalizing there, but you get the picture.

For those interested but not playing, keep your eyes open for beta keys as they are out there.

At this point it is very "shallow" no depth at all. It's a very, very pretty arcade game. Patch 0.3.1 looks to add a bunch of new content.
