Bye bye HMS Edinburgh, thank you for your many years of faithful service. :salute:

Now the only active Type 42 left is Argentinian. There is some kind of bitter irony there. :hmmm:

Was just about to post this in GT, then I thought 'I'd better check the correct place first'.

A shame to see a hard working class go, but at thirty years, they're getting a bit long in the tooth.

I hope at least one is made into a museum ship, as a tribute to Coventry and Sheffield, the Argentinians were going to make a museum ship out of one of theirs but it sunk due to negligence.

Does seem rather odd that now the only Type-42 in service in the world will be ARA Hércules, even if she is a transport ship now rather than a destroyer.
