Another one passes in 2013. :nope:

Although best known for her role in "All in the Family", and she was great in that, she also had a long stage and TV career outside that series.

She died surrounded by her family. She was 90. :salute:

I'm going to miss her.:nope: I loved "All In The Family". Both she and Carroll O'Connor were renowned actors before that sitcom.

Us old guys remember what a great ground-breaking show "All in the Family" was in its day. No one but Carroll O"Connor and Jean Stapleton could have made it a success. "Edith Bunker" was one of a kind! :yeah:

Most people only saw her as Edith Bunker; if you ever get the chance to see some of her other roles or see her in clips of her interviews, you'd she a very dignified, intelligent and talented actor who has left the planet a bit better for her being here...

RIP, Ms. Stapleton and yes, when you were here, those were the days...
