New to SH3, need help

Hello, I just downloaded Silent hunter 3 from Amazon, seems to work alright although I have not actually tried playing it. I want to get the grey wolves mod first but I cannot find a way to install it without donating. Or is donating the only way? If so i might be able to come up with a donation in a few days but I would like to try it now, does it absolutely need a donation or is there another version of the mod? (as the gold one seems to require a donation)

I'd recommend getting SH3 Commander too. If you do you'll also need the config file from Jim's account.

Next time you buy from Amazon use the store link at the top of the page (or through the quick links) and this site gets a small cut at no further cost to you. If you didn't already know that.

Hmm I had actually already found that download link, but when I tried it, it says "GWX3-7.bin could not be found, please insert the correct disk or select another folder".
Which file is it wanting me to install it to? I tried desktop which is what the support page said, and I tried all the folders installed with SH3 and none of them worked.

Also, I will try and remember that if I decide to buy SH4, thanks

did you download GWX3-7.bin?

If you did and all the .bins and .exe are in the same folder I suggest trying the torrent option.

Got it fixed yesterday, was to busy playing to post this :D

Apparently file 7 got downloaded to a different folder without me noticing, oh well.

Now I just need to learn how to hunt merchants :arrgh!:
