View Full Version : Obama in my home state.

I just got a robo-call to expect Obama in my county possibly and to deal with road closures on his behalf.
He is touring Sandy ravaged areas.
I wonder how villified from his own (r)s Chris Christie will be for "crossing" party lines and working with the democrat scum negro Obama.
Christie was the Golden boy until he praised Obama on his handling of Sandy. But in the process he got canned from the CPAC in favor of Bachmann, and Palin, due to his non partisanship.
I understand us lefties, and righties love to brawl here, but one moderate republican shows any willingness to work with the other side and he is killed by his own.
I mean really? Is it because he is fat? Or is it he not extreme enough for the south?
I just want to know how Palin, Rubio. Bachmann, and Boehner, all radicals, can hold so much sway, and why centrists allow it.
My question is this...
Why is a centrist republican destroyed by his own party, for trying to compromise with the powers in Washington.
And why has the powers in Washington worked so hard to deny funds to a blue states (NJ/NY) while unequivocally giving funds to red states when some tornado, Katrina, or floods wipe out their home states.
It just seems they are only disasters when it happens to republicans, Otherwise, CUT CUT CUT, the funding, give it to the banks, instead!
Soooooooo, Christie, big piece of crap right? He has the audacity to work with the other side, He is fat anyways, fat people are useless right?
*crickets*
Get my point? We need to grow the heck up.
We may even fix this mess if we do.

i edited your post so subsequent viewers could focus on the real issue... which is your hate, your resentment and your own partisan nonsense
no need to thank me
:woot:
EDIT: try not to judge an entire group of conservatives for the actions of a few. People make that mistake every day... judge a mass of people because a few suck. In the core of it... that is what the problem is.

I am actually more left leaning. I kinda like Obama, unlike most here.
Christie is a republican.
How am I partisan?
I know what he did for my home state, that is all I know.
I also know who ignored the cries for help from our state, southern republicans most of them.
Hope a tornado hits, and you need our vote for funding.
Say what you want about Christie, but I guarantee you know only what Fox news tells you, and not what he did

You are a very difficult to understand sometimes soopaman it is impossible to tell many times when you are being serious when you are joking around or when you are just rambling randomly.
A few days ago you ranted something about the Huntington Post was something or other rag and how you where no longer going to defend Obama.
Just putting that out there.
You also claim to be nonpartisan but then you imply that Goldnrivet must only watch Fox News to gather his information and hope that a tornado hits Texas and that they need "our" funding.
That sounds ultra partisan to me because I know that Golden is conservative. And as I said it is impossible to tell when you are being serious very angry or joking.Which causes people to get confused.

I was within a mile of where Obama was speaking once. My grandma lived within a mile of Missouri Southwest where he talked a few days after the Joplin tornado.
Of course we couldn't leave the house because of road blocks and what not... So we sat in the living room and watched his speech like a comedy. That was the day we had gone out and helped people in town.
This is a picture of a house in Joplin that I took that I'll never forget. :har:
http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/5063/joplinmoobamagohome.jpg
I took it with my cell phone camera so the quality isn't that great. Two streets down from this house was where the tornado directly hit. Two streets over it looked like Nagasaki or Hiroshima. There was nothing left at all. Whole houses were gone. The roads were in pieces. It was bad.
Funny story time? You know my history teacher that I hated this year? She tried to tell me that it wasn't that bad. :nope: Her exact quote, "I lived like 30 minutes from there. It was not as bad as you say it was."
Oh...that made me mad. I knew people who had their houses basically vaporized. I stood in the building of SW MO State university when we were registering to go out and help. The National Guard were carrying bodies to the basement under white sheets not two days before. They originally told me that I was too young and I couldn't go...but then the lady took us aside and said "Walk over there, talk to that guy, come back and tell me you're 18."
If phones were allowed at my school, I'd have shown her the picture I have with me holding up a street sign with Nagasaki behind me. I lost that picture a few months ago. I got a postcard from the mayor about 6 months later saying thank you for all I did to help. They sent those out to everybody who helped.

Having supported the USSS when I was in the military, the most help any POTUS can ever do for a disaster area is to stay the hell away. His presence does nothing but disrupt.
I know that it is a photo op, but I really wish the POTUS (all POTUS) would stay home when there are these disasters.
Their support is best done in DC with coordinating the Executive Branch... but that does not make a good photo op. :nope:

I understand, though Nicki... Yubba, nah I am not that bad yet? Am I?
I am serious, for real.
Alot of this comes from how handily Sandy funds were killed by Republicans, yet anytime a thunderstorm farts in the south, every dollar is availible.
Christie was killed by his own party for wanting to work with dems on a resolution.
No trolling, no joking, I am for real, and concerned, for me and my neighbors, who have yet to see anything from insurance company or government, who helped so many others, just not us.
Buy flood insurance, get screwed anyways...

Agreed. But if they did, they'd catch flak from the other side for not caring.
Damned if you do...

I caught this too late.
Stay away is the safest, where was he when our power was out for 15 days? Golfing?
He did great at staying away,
I was never defending Obama, but blasting congressionanals (yes anals) mispelled intentionally) for stepping on our relief. Joplin MO got it's money in weeks, NJ/NY blue staters, "dem rich nawtherners got dey own moneys" or something happened. I am just calling attention to it.
(edit: I do not see where I defended Obama in my posts, I did praise his republican counterpart)

I wonder what happened to all the clubs on the Boulevard in Seaside Heights. I'll bet they're all gone: Joey's Surf Club, Club XS, Bermuda Club, Yakety Yak's. Me and my wife used to frequent them when we were younger. I haven't been to the NJ shore in over a decade.
Used to visit Point Pleasant and Diamond Beach in Wildwood too.

I know when Nikimcbee is messing around though you are hard to scan at times though.
I know you have your cadence which is just fine and a bit unique its just the way you come across sometimes people misread you like your joke about Airbus the other day is a good example.
You have a long way to go to get to Yubbaville I think if you drank a bottle of mescal you might be at Ahead 1/3rd Yubba runs at Back Emergency at all times.
You also forget that in the Katrina hits areas those may have been "red" states but in Louisiana for example New Orleans is a blue area. The entire Red/Blue state thing is a pile of horse crap anyway and only encourages the problem.People should ignore differences and try to solve problems at hand in the manner that best suits the country as a whole.

He should have saved the tax payers money by not burning up fuel in Air Force One so he could take a look at a damaged home. Get Christie to take some candid shots and email. That is what the rest of us do.
