Who'd believe it :o

Chinese hackers have accessed designs for more than two dozen US weapons systems, a US newspaper has reported.
Designs for combat aircraft, ships and missile defences were among those compromised, a Pentagon paper found, the Washington Post reported.

Assuming that no human agent penetrated the companies from within, but "hacker" indeed means network access from outside, I have no sympathy and zero tolerance for this even being possible. What is so difficult in physically disconnecting internal computers from the outside world and have employees being searched for smartphones, USB-sticks and such, with a total ban on carrying such devise in our out? Not even the boss of the bosses should be made exceptions for.

I have never had trust in software "protections" being as solid as physical disconnections.

If that slows down development a bit and makes the digital internal network a bit less easy to hand around information for a project, then all heat in hell - so be it.

Idiotic. And the attacks probably well deserved. Sensible structures shall have no physical connection to outside computers or the internet - what part of that exactly is so difficult to understand? That includes no internal link to wireless data senders or receivers, of course.

But they are our friends!

They have our best interest in mind, as well as most of our manufacturing, might as well give them our passwords, they already own most of us.

I want to become a Chinese 5 cent poster, they are the only ones hiring anymore.
