View Full Version : Torpedo Replacement
Hi everybody, need help Please.
Have completed a mission and returned to Pearl Harbour with no Torpedos to Refit.
but having continued on to next Mission have found when I get to new Target I have no Torpedos.
Is this correct or am I doing something Wrong Please.
Another Wrexhamite eh?
When you return from a patrol, you need to replenish your torpedoes before going on to the next mission. On the office screen, you need to click on your boat, then go to the torpedo screen and refill your stock.

When you got to Pearl, did you click "End patrol," or "Refit?"
If you clicked "refit," then you need to reload the torpedoes yourself.
If you clicked "end patrol," then it is done automatically.
Getting back to your home port, I suggest to go ahead and "end patrol." That way any hull repairs needed get done, you can give promotions and medals, upgrade your boat if an upgrade is available, and alter your torpedo load out.

Yes, ending the patrol initializes the load out automatically.

When you do a refit, don't forget to reload twice. If you do it once, it only fills the racks. You need to drag those over, then refill again.
Another trick, some torps cost you, so if you buy them so to speak, before you end patrol, refit twice first. You should get the exact same loadout, then you don't have to use your points again to obtain better torps. Some mods change it, you may get only 70% of your original loadout.

On a similar note if auth torpedo auto reload is on after the refit all you have to do is drag one torpedo from spares into a tube and then all the other tubes start reloading.
On the standard game when you refit it replaces your storage torpedoes as they were when you started the patrol, so if you had one expensive torpedo in storage and all the others were cheap ones, turn off auto reload, refit, load the expensive torp into a tube, refit again, now you get another expensive torp in storage, repeat until all your tubes are filled with the expensive torpedoes.

Something else you can do if all torpedo reserve trays are empty, even if some of your tubes are still loaded, toggle off auto-reload, click rearm or refit, then toggle auto-reload back on. The new torpedos will be slotted to any empty tubes, though not loaded yet, and space will be available on your trays to finish rearming. Not totally realistic, but convenient.
