Just trying out my new sig pic. Hopefully it pasts muster as far as size goes. :hmmm:

Let me know what you guys think! :)

Well, to be honest, it seems a little self-gratifying. No offence intended but when someone asks my opinion I tend to give it as is.

As an Aussie I'm not familiar with the name and various badges/medals so maybe I'm just missing some sort of relevence. Is 'Ramsay' your name name, or a famous captain?

Dang, Jim beat me to it!

Yeah, your sig is fine.

As far as the sig itself, I think it's cool. Of course I don't care what it says as long as it's within the rules, and it is. :sunny:

No offence taken!:)

Maybe it is not as obvious as I thought as to what the pic actually is. I put it together as a representation of the uniform my skipper would wear in my current career playthrough in SH4. The rank, ribbons, etc on the uniform all match what I have earned in the game (plus some historically accurate service ribbons and patrol badge that would have been earned, but are not simulated in SH4). I had seen some folks with customized battle flags based on accomplishments in-game, so I decided to change it up a little and go another direction with the same concept. It's all modular, so when I earn some more medals or get promoted I can modify the image to keep up, or I can start a new one when my number of dives exceeds my number of surfaces :03:

Thanks for the input, guys!

Are you playing Stock?

How did you manage that Medal of Honor? :hmmm:

I am playing with RFB+RSRDC.

I am not quite sure I earned it properly, though I didn't argue!:D

I happened upon a convoy off Takao while patrolling the southern approach to the Formosa Strait. I got a couple large freighters and a tanker with two well-timed spreads (one fore, one aft), before being chased down and taking a depth charge beating by the lone DD on escort. I was able to get away alive, and proceeded to head towards home. I ran into a few singles on the way back, Hog Island types I think. Also got a bunch of Junks towards the beginning of the patrol.

All in all, it was like ten ships at around 25k for the patrol. I was surprised at the MoH, but I guess they took the beating we received into account :)

The game is quite free with its medals. I've read reports of players getting more than one MoH.

Only 25K?

I sank 98K in one patrol and I got a silver star. :/\\!!

I was limping back into port with a fuel tank leak and half my batteries destroyed! :/\\!!

Guess that's what I get for playing TMO.

Yeah Red, but his ships were actually moving around with sailors on board...not tied up to a pier with the crew on shore leave. :har:

I thought I stripped you of all your medals for numeorus lies and false reports.

Anyway, my best patrol was 287,000 tons, no refits, no harbor raiding. I didn't just become an Admiral by chance or self appointment....as some suggest.

YOU DID!

I haven't played SH4 since. I decided it was time to take up IL-2 1946 for a while. :O:

I might've snuck a patrol or two with Pacific Aces... :shucks:
