EAX sound sim for SH 4(found only SH 3 version) and visible smoke mod by vickers(I think) which helped with keeping visual track of ships from a distance.

That smoke mod, while a small one, is a mod that really changes the game, something that always annoyed me. The merchants put out dark black smoke as most did in RL and could track them from miles away in proper conditions as the sub crews did in RL.Warships usually has lighter crisp smoke werent as visible, it helped.Playing it with, then without, its a hole different game.It made pre radar game play much more realistic and even with radar, could turn radar off to avoid detection and track visually.
