Also, Kirk Douglas, and Burgess Meredith. A very good movie. :yep:
Also dont forget Richard Widmarks brother. He was the one that reports to the bridge on the " Old Swayback" after she gets torpedoed and then passes out.

The "Rock's" girlfriend was the first mother in one of the greatest TV's series ever....Course, easy to look up, but most us teens of the 70's loved the show and grew up on it.

Yep. I liked that pilot movie a lot more than the series. The show was great, but PN gave it a more authentic '30s feel, at least in my mind.

She was also the Duke's ex-wife in Operation Pacific
The sailor who passed out on the bridge of the "swayback" was James Mitchum...son of Robert Mitchum.

We were talking about Duke, Rock, Dick, Pat and some other people who lived when the world was black & white and music was mono.
Several of us are over sixty, and while we can't remember anything either we have learned to fake it very well. I keep a list of everything I've just read stapled to my forehead.
Well, the only ones I remembered on my own, were John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, and Burgess Meredith. It's been a long time since I've seen it; I'm a little fuzzy on the details.

I tried that but then forgot where I put it. And what's up with all these headaches??
Yesterday I spend two hours trying to get that note off the bathroom mirror....
