A few questions

I have been looking into getting a recent version of TMO. However, when I read the manual, it said it was only for version 1.5. Is there a version of TMO 2.5 for version 1.4?

Also, I have been recently finding the game a little too easy (I play on a realism setting of 8). Can anybody recommend some things I should add to up the difficulty, without being constantly stressed about fuel and stuff like that?

Actually that doesn't show how the regular ranking works, only what happens if you donate.

If you choose to let the regular system do its thing, you'll rise fairly quickly. As in real life, the higher you go the longer it takes to achieve each new rank.

Watch out for post #179, though. :sunny:

You can get it from Amazon. It's 10$ for the download and it has it's own installer.

Type in Silent Hunter 4 U Boat Missions and you can get it. If you use the link at the top of the screen you support Subsim with your purchase at no extra cost.

If you buy the SH4 Gold edition from Amazon.com, you can download an installation file. Basically its an electronic version of an installation CD that will be downloaded to its own folder on your hard drive. You can save this folder or back it up in any way you choose, its about 4 gig in size. Also, even if you somehow loose the install file, the record of your purchase is permanently kept by Amazon, and you will be able to download the file again at any time should the need arise. After using the link here, make sure you scroll down on the Amazon page until you find the link for the SH4 Gold edition. The first thing you see there will be SH4, but that's not the Gold edition at the top of the page.

SH4 Gold is completely stand alone, and patched up to 1.5 already.

Buying just the U-boat expansion alone seems to cost more than the complete SH4 Gold, so that was a no-brainer. :rotfl2:
