Have you tried pressing the backspace key or pressing the + key on the number pad?

Then all I can suggest is you reinstall the game.

If you decide upon the above, delete the SH3 folder and clean the registry.

Hi ssVIIa, welcome aboard.

Make sure you edited the main.cfg in "...\MyDocuments\SH3\data\cfg" - check if RealTime=1.
This file is a copy from the SH3 installation path and is used for the game itself.
If you change the original source only, the copy will not be updated.

Please post a DxDiag protocol of your computer.
(click Windows START button -> run -> "dxdiag" -> hit Enter key
The DxDiag-screen pops up - cklick through the tabs and check if any problems are mentioned.
There is a button to save the information as a text file.)
Copy the upper part including the 'Sound Devices' section and post it here.

I am having the same problem. How does one edit the file? When I click on it it asks me what program to open it with. Suggestions?
