View Full Version : title of a song, easy
sung by a woman (probably)
New York appears in the lyrics (probably)
in the video clip there is a city seen at night (?) from some kind of scaffolding (probably)

Thank you...and apologies to kranz for the derailment.
New York State of Mind?
yeah, that's it
thanks.
this board has a new 'professor of music' :)
However, the official video differs from the one I saw on Discovery - that is why I wrote about 'scaffolding' (:haha:) (silly me)

Not to nit pick but...
The song 'New York State of Mind' was written and sung by Billy Joel from his album Turnstiles in 1976.
'Empire State of Mind' is a song by American rapper Jay-Z, featuring vocals and a chorus from American singer Alicia Keys.
If that isn't confusing enough there's 'Empire State' by Fleetwood Mac and 'N.Y. State of Mind' by Nas.
