Proof has been found that early American settlers at Jamestown took to cannibalism during the harsh winter of 1609-1610, a period known as 'the starving time'.

Them Pilgrims must of been a stupid lot. I'm sure there were plenty of critters they could have trapped or shot with ol' Bessy before resorting to eating each other.

I thought when they put the word "proof" in quotations the implication was that it's truthfulness was in doubt. Like Pravda means "truth".
At least they didn't put a question mark after the title though. That would have sealed it.

Funny, I did not know if cannibalism in Jamestown was a lingering mystery. I'm glad it was resolved.
