Some people have the nerve for anything...as long as it pays.
A millionaire businessman who sold fake bomb detectors to countries including Iraq and Georgia, knowing they did not work, has been convicted of fraud.
James McCormick, 56, of Langport, Somerset, is said to have made £50m from sales and sold more than 6,000 in Iraq, the Old Bailey heard.

This is unbelievable, have you seen them? Its disgusting that he's done this when it can have such devastating results, but can you believe governments and the UN bought these, I know he sold to Iraq with the help of massive bribes but elsewhere do they not have robust procurement procedures?? Didn't they even try them out.

He claimed they would work under water and from the air, and would track an object up to 1km (3280ft) below the ground.
And no one considered testing this "amazing" capability?
I would say that more were bribed than the Iraqis in this scam.

The Mark II eyeball is the best bomb detector ever made.
It's not that hard to spot a suicide bomber in a hot climate. He's the only foo wearing a trench coat.:hmmm:

A radio listener has recommended that the 'fake bomb detector' millionaire should pay back money to the people he conned.
I wouldn't worry, I'm sure they're having a blast.

Airlift and drop him with one of his devices right into the middle of a known minefield.
