Hi Folks -

I'm a new member.

I found this forum by googling for PC Age of Sail games and found the informative 'WHY God - is there no decent Sailing Ship war game?!?!' discussion.

I have never played a sub sim, and have only played sailing sims (board game versions) a few times, WSIM and Flying Colors. I've had difficulty finding regular naval game partners area and my one experience with a remote matchup through ahiks didn't work well, although it was no fault of the AHIKS folks.

I play a lot of sports sims (like Strat-O-Matic), which explains my screen name.

This appears to be a great forum, and I'm sure I'll learn a lot here.

There's actually a nice little flash game on NotDoppler (www.notdoppler.com) called "Pirateers!" that I've been playing at school in my free time.

It's a top down game involving raiding merchants, eliminating the enemies, and hunting treasure. It's not realistic but it's fun when you got nothing else to do.
