What is the reason for unistalling it? Something happen to the game drasticly? If so, what happend that lead to the drastic failuer in case it happends to me, or you just had enough of it.....

Depending on what happend you may need to try to install over it if you can and then try unistalling it.

(don't do it!!!-->) If your really experince with the windows registery, you can resolve it there then straight delete All the SH5 folders...

you cant uninstall the game correctly with mods still activated so did you uninstall all mods first? if not its all a mess and you will have to do manual file cleanup

i have already deleted all the files, but the launcher just says play and no uninstall. this is weird

that's because there were still some mods installed so those files couldn't uninstall properly and were never removed by the uninstaller which resulted in half of your files are uninstalled and the rest are still there so you cant reinstall because the game sees you have some game files it looks for and thinks the game is already installed but it still cant run the game because the rest of the game files are missing. there are still some files you didn't delete yet.

if you have windows 7 64 bit OS then open the computer main drive (usually "c" drive) and then open the program files (x86) directory and delete the ubisoft folder found there, now go to the other program files directory and delete the ubisoft or silent hunter files found there. now go to your documents folder and delete the saved game files there and then run a good registry cleaner (I like CCleaner), after that you should be able to reinstall the game.

need more info then that:

what operating system do you have and explain step by step exactly where you went and what you deleted

also if you have the steam version you will have to delete the steam files for it too

did you uninstall the game or just deleted the files?

is it the steam version or non steam version of the game?

did you delete the game files in your documents folder and then run a registry cleaner?

ok so you never ran the actual game uninstaller?

do you have a friend who has the game on his computer?

ok well here is what you need to do to fix it

go to a friends house with a 8gb flash drive with at least 6gb free

now install the game on their computer but you don't have to run it just install it. now go to the programs files (x86) and copy the entire ubisoft folder there to the flash drive then do the same for the other file in the regular programs files directory.

now that you have the files you need to fix your computer you can uninstall the game from their computer and go put the files from the thumb drive back on your computer and the game should work again but don't expect it to work perfect because other stuff could be corrupted so now that it functions run the uninstaller to remove the game correctly then run your registry cleaner then you can do a fresh brand new install and be good as new again.
