I was having a sort out earlier today and came across a couple of my old DVDs. U571 & Grey Lady Down. It's years since I watched them, so being as there isn't much on the box tonight, I think I will watch them again.

:lurk:

I agree about U571.

Another brilliant one to watch is The Sinking Of The Laconia written by Alan Bleasdale. This two part movie (running time 172 min) was made for BBC Television and was made available on DVD in 2010. There is another disc included which covers interviews from some of the survivors. the disc also gives an account about each real life character. Well worth watching.
Not sure if this is available in the USA, as it was made for British Television.

I bought mine from Amazon UK.

I saw it a few months ago and I have to agree that it is excellent.

Yes, it is available here as well.

Glad you enjoyed it Steve and also that it is available in the US. It will probably be available in Europe too and other parts of the world. It's one of those films you can watch more than once, especially if you haven't watched it for quite a while. I remember seeing it when it was on TV and forgot all about it, until I discovered it on Amazon a few days ago. Got it cheaper than when it was first released.
