Best State to be in.

You shouldn't have to change your resolution to be able to fix the error. The problem is your monitor's refresh rate. It has to be 60Hz or higher. See if you can change your refresh rate to 60Hz. Then you can just keep it there and you don't have to keep changing settings every time you want to launch the game.

Windows 7 reports 59Hz even if you choose 60 from the panel, so the 3D engine blows up. If you have an nVidia card (which I do, and have applied this fix), your issue will probably be solved.

- Go to Nvidia Control Panel
- Go to Add resolution
- Create Custom Resolution
- Click on Timing
- Click on Manual
- Set refresh rate to 60.001 Hz
- Press Test
- Restart Windows

From then on, Windows will report a refresh rate of 60Hz instead of 59Hz.

That's weird. I'm running 64bit 7 and I haven't done that trick. My monitor is 1920x1080 60Hz and the game runs fine.

I did however experience that issue with my 1920x1200 monitor. When I tried to change the refresh rate on that it just kept giving me the error and the refresh rate kept resetting to 59Hz.

There must be something going on with the 16:10 aspect ratio. Thanks for the tip!
