Ya know when your lookouts spot a ship and the menu pops up that says "ship spotted" and you got 3 choices + a default selection?

Well, the three choices work okay on my SH 4 modded model but the default (or whatever the text is) doesn't. I assume that if I hit default that I won't be seeing that little screen again. But on my sub some Seaman Apprentice keeps asking the same question every time. I'm tired of that interruption.

Anyone know what I am talking about and how to "fix" it?

I know exactly what you're talking about. :smug: I don't know how to fix it or work around it. :88) I make a decision each time based on what I've been able to observe with the sonar or radar. Normally, if in doubt, I do periscope depth. :ahoy:

I thought the default once check was your default action taken upon contact sighted. So if you check it then hit dive to periscope depth you will not get the messages any longer and simply dive. I honestly have never checked it to see.

Thanks fellows. But I have tried just about everything possible including asking my wife :haha:

If I knew what file controlled that screen, maybe I could jigger it a bit and change things. Anyone know where it is or where to find it.
