real boat not playing well with others

Just installed SH4 with u-boat missions add-on, and was looking at real boat and triggermaru overhaul with run silent, run deep campaign.

Started with tmo with rsrdc but I lose the external view camera that I used to have with just running sh4 1.4. I play a lot of real time, as I work, to listen to the sounds of the wave and such and I like watching the sub going though the waves.

Then I tryed real boat 2.0 with rsrdc and it crashes. If I run just real boat it works, but I want to run rsrdc as well.

Is there any way to get the external view with tmo?

Yes, before your mission, in the desk room clic the left hand radio for options and select game options, then uncheck no external camera.

As for RSRDC, there are many versions for compatibilities with other mods.
There is one for sure to be TMO 2.5 compatible, but don't know for real boat mod...

There are three versions of RSRDC, which are not interchangeable and the differences are not cosmetic. RSRDC v550 is for stock SH4 v1.5. RSRDC v502 is for TMO v2.5. RSRDC v575 is for RFB v2.0. Each version of RSRDC is compatible only with the indicated supermod, and must be installed after the supermod. Failure to do so will cause major in-game misbehavior and/or CTDs. I can't say for sure, but it sounds like that could be your problem.

Change the external camera setting in the game options inside the captain's office prior to the patrol. I use TMO and RSRDC. I think the default may be no external camera but it can be changed.

Read through the documentation that comes with TMO. At the end there are instructions on how to change a few things, including getting the external cam back.

As BigWalleye says, you need the correct version of RSRDC.

I can assure you that RFB v2.0 does work perfectly well with RSRDC v575. I play that combination all the time, with a couple dozen other mods on top, and it is stable as a table. I get high frame rates on a middle-weight machine too, so I doubt it's your computer. Do make sure you have the correct version of RSRDC.

Guess I misunderstood the OP as well. Thought he was trying to get either one to work with RSRDC and couldn't. 'Scuse me.

common issue, you have the wrong version of RSRDC there is one for RFB and one for TMO and one for the stock game, use the correct one for RFB. it tells you which one to use in the RFB thread
