View Full Version : Help with Baltic Operations mission
Been playing this mission for a few days now, in game daye is Sept 14 so roughly 2 weeks at sea patrolling the Baltic.. but I'm finding hardly any ships.. found 6 so far in the 2 week period and can spend up to 2 hours in real time finding a ship.
Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying the game but my time is limited..
Is there a best place to patrol in this mission.
BTW I'm using the Travelly search scripts and my sonar is working fine, just cant find any ships..
Thanks
Trevally.

For that Baltic objective - I would just sit at all stop in that pinch point and do a hydro sweep every hour or so.
If you want to run automation - try this one "Search Pattern 2" :-

If you are hunting out in the Atlantic - I would set up along a suspect shipping lane and use the lane one.
Thanks for the tips.
Will put into practice now :)

Sometimes I start a campaign and I find ships fairly quickly , just lucky . Other times it takes a month . Once I had to abandon the Baltic objective and go straight to british east coast . This objective can actually be one of the most frustrating especially if you get bad weather .
Each time, i sit North West of Gdansk, at the limit of blue stripe mission area...and Polish cargos are always here after few hours :yep:
I don't even run other place, untill i fill the bar!

I recently finished that mission because I re-installed, and I sat at 41 meters in the deep patch of water in between Germany and Sweden (?) and waited there because my hydrophone has max depth there, and when a ship passes by I blow ballast and charged at it, but there were so many neutral ships, one after the other, I surface to find neutral ship.
Took quite a while to finish that one.
