Anyone ever die from Depth Charges in this game?

Love hate relationship with part 5.. I go back and forth between 3 and 4 all the time.. Gave 5 a chance a few months ago and while the little mods have helped visually..

I still feel, its so darn easy!!!!!!!!!!!

I played until 1944, and walked through the entire ocean.. Dove deep, a few charges but NOT ONCE have I taken enough damage from depth charges to be destroyed..

Is something wrong??

Nothing wrong with your mods list.
Nevertheless, you could update your IRAI to latest v0039 and its patch.

While i got very interesting fights and depth charges in SH4 lately, i had lot more trouble surviving SH5 destroyers with stock IRAI...
Had to tweek it down a bit to give me a little chance! :smug:

But i agree SH4 AIs are still VERY good and well made (using TMO for me).

Yea, same.. using TMO/RSRD at the moment.. Actually had a problem with my SH4 game, which made me take another peak at SH5..

I remember why I stopped playing it though.. I made it to late 1943, thinking, why haven't I been destroyed yet.. And I remembered...

I actually want to be destroyed :)

I just learned manual targeting with SH4, so I wanna give it a shot for SH5, any good guides?
