View Full Version : [Req] TDW PT Boat Bug Fix
Many of us have been encountering these little guys sitting out on their patrols burning or moving around not buring with their sterns half submegered all the time. They are way too low with their stern swamped all the time.
If it's possible TDW, can you change them to sit higher in the water? This could solve the problems we've been seeing. These days they aren't burning in my SH5, which I believe is attributed another mod. Possibly Sober's smoke screen mod v1 compatable with Dynamic Environment.

Could they have taken damage from waves? because when they get damaged by water, their draft lowers (Until they sink)
If I play with the Ship health meters on, the Patrol boats usually have small amounts of health lost.
This could be the cause?
I don't think it's damage from waves or they'd eventually sink. Which I've not seen them do. Every one I've run across is like that. I figured it was how they were initially set up to sit in the water. But I could be wrong seeing I don't have a clue how they were built by TDW or configured. ;)

:hmmm:
I don't see anything wrong/strange with the boat's behavior..

I've seen them many times in flammes, mainly for Scapa mission.
Didn't close enough to see the floading though.
But sometime too, they are navigating fine...:hmmm:
V, they're riding too low in the water at the stern. Yours and mine. ;) In reality they sat a bit higher than what they do in game. Real PT boats are not as small as you think and have at least 3 feet of side from the deck to the water. At full speed the stern is low in the water, but not so low as like in my screenshots.
