Saves and in game crashes once AGAIN!

After getting back to SH3 and GWX 3.0 was fun and error free for 12 patrols. I could save inside a convoy while shooting and being depth charged. All was good and great fun. Then I went to one of my favorate
hunting area ( the straights of Gibraltar ) where in the past saves were a "non issue".

The game crashes in mid game or will not reload. I moved west to the larger ocean area where the "land effect" was gone and it still crashes and will not reload.

The error is " APPCRASH " . I hate to give up on this sub game , but enough is enough. This has been a turn off on SH3 and SH4.

No other game I play has save issues.

Any help will be apprecieded.:subsim:

have you downloaded and install anymore mods since you last save

Got the same thing, most of the time things are ok tho. Might be the destroyer skin mods I installed. I just save a lot more.

I could recommend a 2nd install of SHIII. Then when you start a new carreer you can use the new install and see how it goes.
Making back ups of your install is a good idea aswell.

No, to the first person and not any time soon to the last.

I will not go this "goat rope" again, so either is does OK enough or
it will be expunged from my system.

And, yes I did all of the other advice that has been put forth in

If running SH3 with Supermods like GWX you have to be careful what other mods you add. Most are compatible but there are many that are not. Reskin Mods especially if they are highly detailed can play havoc if your system is not up to much. Have you tried the 4gb Patch, this can improve the playability if you have a lot of mods installed especiall as it increases the MB ram from 2gb to 4gb. Not used this myself as I seem to be running ok without it. Don't give up to easily, someone on here may have the right answer.
