Fleet of British Destroyers in Poland

I decided to set sail for Poland during the Baltic Operations mission, to find out why there are no Polish ships at all, heading out, and when I arrive in Poland, there are about 40 British Destroyers just steaming around in Poland, why and how did they get there? past all the German naval power patrolling the Baltic?

Under which flag are they sailing? Union Jack or Polish ensign? :hmm2:

They were A, B V&W's and they were all Royal navy flagged.

This is an obvious mistake then. Try asking directly Trevally (in OH's thread) on it; if it was on me, I would totally redesign that objective :hmm2:

Could this also be the reason on why there are no Polish Merchant ships coming from these ports?

Because I am yet to see one this time I played.
I just see large convoys of Neutral ships, and I don't believe they count as "Patrolling the Baltic"

ok - lets look at the reports
40+ DDs belonging to the UK have been sighted outside Polish harbours.
It is suspected that these British warships have declaired war on Poland and sunk all their cargo ships.

If this is true - perhaps we could form a pact with them:hmmm:
Before we do - we should look into these reports and what what truth can be found. Im sure this is not the first time u-boat skippers have blamed a bad patrol on a Kraken:03:

Recce planes sent over these ports have found the answers:-

Where you would expect to see Polish DDs - we do indeed find British patroling out side the harbours as if they own it.
The numbers however (often the case in war) has been exaggerated. There are 15 Britsh DDs partoling these harbours.

From The Port of Gdańsk, only cargo ship leaved every 12 hours - regular as clockwork and heads west.
The British have not attacked or sunk any of these ships.

01/10/1393
All the British DDs have been run off and now our very own Kriegsmarine control the waters with many DDs
One lone British DD stays behind to protect the Polish cargos - but it is soon sunk.
Polish cargo ships are now running a gauntlet to break free to the Baltic - most are indeed making it.

Its over and all ships leaving Polish waters are under the control of Germany.

Actually, I believe I was being TOO aggressive. Expected to see the entire Polish merchant fleet sailing into my PA! When that didn't happen RIGHT AWAY, thought I had missed the lot or done something else wrong. Need at least a bit more patience! I'm OK with that.

Been playing SH4 for a while now. SH4, particularly with RFB, is all about patience and hunting for targets. Thought SH5 was just BSU. My mistake!

Hmm this seems to answer a question of mine.

Was playing the first mission to patrol and sink polish ships in the patrol zone but no matter where I patrolled in the patrol area I couldnt find any ships at all. spent nearly 2 hours in game using one of the search scripts last night at 256 - 512 game speed and still didnt find and enemy ships. However the game date is only around 10th of Sept.

So should I wait until nearer November and patrol around the polish harbours ?
