Could be the beginning of a major escalation?

DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — Syria's information minister says a chemical weapon fired by rebels on a village in the north of the country is the "first act" by the opposition interim government announced in Istanbul.Omran al-Zoubi says the missile containing "poisonous gases" was fired from Nairab district in Aleppo into Khan al-Assal village on Tuesday.
He says 16 people were killed and 86 wounded in the attack. He spoke to the pro-government Al-Ikhbariya TV station.
Omran also says the attack is the results of the decision by some in the international community to arm the Syrian opposition.
Rebels have denied the accusation and say regime forces fired the weapon.

First thought is that the reporter is the actual perpetrator:

dictionary.reference.com/browse/Perpetrator
noun a person who perpetrates , or commits, an illegal, criminal, or evil act:
The perpetrators of this heinous crime must be found and punished to the fullest extent

Wouldn't be the first time a government has done such a thing to frame the opposition. :hmmm:

With all the stockpiles in Syria it could be a matter of time.
Wouldn't be the first time a government has done such a thing to frame the opposition.
Frame or not frame who ever uses this weapons it would make Assad's situation even worse.

like the generals of North korea seem to be :o

Both sides claim that a chemical attack has been launched by the other but neither side has evidence to prove it:

What's it to you? Are you Syrian? Are you old? Are you a Nork General?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Syrian government did this, they're all completely crazy.

I am waiting for more evidence of actual chemical weapons being used. IF they were used, the evidence would be easy to collect.

There are several reasons why civilians may think they have been exposed to chemical agents, when they are really not.

These claims have been made before, the FSA has brought wounded out for the cameras claiming they have been exposed to chemical agents but no real proof has surfaced.

If you don't believe in God then there is no tomorrow ...

How much easier does it get than that?

In the case of Syria they believe that Abraham was their father and they have a God that rewards them according to their deeds right or wrong ...

the 13 virgins lie can only last so long and by the time they figure it out they will be on the other side.

the commies however have a different song with no God means no tomorrow ...

the generals of North Korea are looking kind of old and might not mind taking everyone with them, but they only believe in the grave as their reward for long and faithful service

admit it you know there is a God that cares for Israel ...

how else can you explain their still being around?

If there was a god that cared for Israel he would have told moses to turn right after passing the red sea

I was hoping that you were victim of a unlucky choice of words, but obviously you seriously wanted to say that if there are two worst-criminal mass murderers and war criminals, he who believes (or claims so) in a god nevertheless still is a bit more human and friendly than the other.

Wowh.

If man doesn't fear God then there is nothing left to fear ....

This applies to all men ... not just the leaders of countries

At least nothing to fear in the afterlife (or lack thereof) but good luck getting Skybird to ever admit it.

I looked up this guy Moses and you were right ... lol

He didn't have enough faith to turn right ... but he did have faith

Hebrews 11: 28

It was by faith that Moses left Egypt and was not afraid of the king’s anger. Moses continued strong as if he could see the God that no one can see. It was by faith that the people crossed the Red Sea as if it were dry land. But when the Egyptians tried it, they were drowned.

The atheists are bad because they don't believe in afterlife and know there will be no punishment so they will take half the world with them when they go.

2 things wrong with that. Since they don't believe in afterlife, they have higher regard to the current life, since it is their only one. But that kind of argument losses weight as geetrue said, they're old man close to death.

But there's one thing one should not forget about elderly Nork generals. They have children (most of them, not all). Any one person wants the best for his child and in case of the Nork generals the same cooshy position with power. They are an aristocracy. Sons inherit. They may not care about themselves anymore but they do care about their lineage.

Sorry, had to derail it even more since I find that statement about nonbelievers being more dangerous absurd. I'm an atheist and I'm not a raving psychopat. Quite the opposite, I'm a civil defence medic. Only one life per person means I'll put a lot more effort in saving it since I don't believe that injured person will have a ''better place'' to go if I fail :nope:

Nah it just reminded me of a Dire Straits tune:

Two men say they're Jesus one of them must be wrong
There's a protest singer singing a protest song - he says
'they wanna have a war to keep us on our knees
They wanna have a war to keep their factories
They wanna have a war to stop us buying Japanese
They wanna have a war to stop Industrial Disease
They're pointing out the enemy to keep you deaf and blind
They wanna sap your energy incarcerate your mind
They give you Rule Brittania, gassy beer, page three
Two weeks in Espana and Sunday striptease'
Meanwhile the first Jesus says 'I'd cure it soon
Abolish monday mornings and friday afternoons'
The other one's on a hunger strike he's dying by degrees
How come Jesus gets Industrial Disease?

I hope Mr. Jesus Christ of Winchester, VA and Mr. Jesus Christ of Chesapeake, VA never meet then.

http://www.whitepages.com/name/Jesus-Christ/Virginia

Whitepages.com lists 25 people with the name Jesus Christ in the United States.

So at least 25 people can all be right when they say they are Jesus Christ. :D

If you go just by the first name of Jesus, than 223,674 people can be right.
