China’s latest stealth fighter prototype could be deployed aboard the Chinese navy’s first aircraft carrier, eventually allowing Beijing to deploy radar-evading warplanes all over the world — although it’ll have to overcome some serious constraints.

why not... it seems rugged enough to do that.

But that carrier must have perfect infrastructure to maintain a stealth jet of this kind.
Would surprise me if they manage pulling that off.

Where did they get the design from, pure chinese Genius :03:

why are the Chinese wasting their money on a 5th generation stealth fighter?

Don't they know patching up existing aircraft or building future robot planes is the way to go? :ping:

Very possible.

Well the J-31 has the same engine as the MiG-29 and the Russians made that aircraft carrier capable without need of a cat launch. Although its capabilities would be very limited to the air-defense or light strike roles.

The larger J-20, well I don't see that launching with out a cat or JATOs, period.

Northrop Grumman ... I think they are out of Atlanta, Gerogia

but I see the wink :03::03:

is it the F-35 look a like or

maybe it was another plane company like Boeing
I'm on dial up and too lazy to look it up

A lot of people suspect that the Chinese stole data from the F-35 project, which is probably true.

However, the Chinese are rapidly catching up to the west and Russia in technological expertise. The days when we could assume our technology would always be superior to theirs are pretty much gone.

Lets not forget, they have an active manned space program while the US is forced to bum rides from the Russians. :ping:
