Huh? :-?

I'm assuming he is referring to today being Douglas Adams' birthday. Though I was under the impression that Towel Day was usually celebrated on May 25th...

Ah. I understood the reference, but having no clue when DA's birthday is, I had no clue why the reference.

Wrong! It's 42.

That's the whole point of the story, and that's what's wrong with the Universe. I take it you've never read Douglas Adams?

He was in charge of Doctor Who for a while, and wrote a legendary sci-fi comedy book series.

You've never heard of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy?

The wit of Douglas Adams:

The Salt Lake City Library has several quotes from legendary authors on the walls. The one from Douglas Adams reads "I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by."

I have heard of that. I've never read any of it though.

And Doctor Who just isn't my thing. :know:

It's okay. It's all a matter of taste. You can't help it if you don't have any. :O:

I'm gonna watch part 4 of The Highlanders.

Is it good? Let me start by saying I don't do fiction (too much happens in real life), nor do I do space stories, weird creatures, or alien languages. But the whole Hitchikers series had me hooked - one after the other. Fantastic series, get them all, get them soon.
Don't watch any of the attempts of film, the latest was probably the best but still missed out a squillion and one things. The radio series was better but as usual nothing beats the written word.

If you mean the books, they are better than anything.

If you mean the TV miniseries, I thought it was much better than the movie, but I liked the movie as well.
