I'm being sent back to Scapa Flow to sink another Capitol Ship. On 10/1/39 for Breaking the Fortress I sank a Royal Sovereign Battleship and a Renoun Battle Cruiser. Jump ahead to 12/6/39 and I'm sent back again to sink another Capitol Ship.... but now not a one is in port on 12/8. Should I wait around for one to enter Scapa Flow or head out and then come back in a week or so?

Seems odd that you'd be called upon to complete that same mission requirement all over again. Any thoughts on this?

The Breaking the Fortress mission is one of the Overall missions in Coastal Waters campaign (end date 10/15). Any time after this you may be prompted to go to Scapa Flow to sink more capital ships when you select other missions. This "new" Scapa mission is a random Secondary mission and doesn't hurt you if you do not complete it. Your primary mission should be the Northwest approaches.....

If there are no targets there...I would just leave and go try and complete you Primary objective.... I personally wouldn't risk going back if I didn't have to.

Ahhhh, good one Finch. I thought I'd read that before somewhere. I'll get out of there and head west. My thanks. :salute:

I am pretty sure that from the beginning of the game, those two ships are moored there to make the Scapa flow mission possible, so once they are sunk, I would not expect them to respawn.

I left and I'm now out around Scapa Flow reeking havoc with British shipping. But I've been checking to see if any Capitol ship has anchored. Nothing in 4 days time and I don't really expect any.

Tho I did receive a radio message from BDU that a Task Force is heading NE north of Scapa Flow. We're now a flank speed to intercept them, and I have a sneeky feeling there's an aircraft carrier in the mix.
