Starting a patrol off the coast of France and was attacked by aircraft. After surfaceing about an hour later, another aircraft spotted but this guy circles above my boat and crashed into the ocean about a hundred yards from me and I never took a shot at him:yeah: Anyone ever have this happen? Either the pilot wasn't instrument rated or his artificial horizon was broken. Dodged that bullet.

I've had a real kamikaze - I shot down a Swordfish and he managed to hit my uboat on the way down. Terribly unsporting of the British.

Possibly because of a fuel shortage,,,the AI can occasionally keep them up for longer than their intended range.

At least it was a Swordfish.
I had a Short Sunderland crashing on my aft section.
End of patrol and career of course.
