In the bay where the nearest Japanese port is Yaizo , just sent a tanker tet bottom and lining a freighter up, happened to get the scope spotted ,and was attacked by a small gun boat and 3 DDs . Went down to 150 feet and played dead while them above were dropping DCs and searching for my sub . After a while and being a nosy sod I took a look with the camera t see where they were ,Right above my marker a Jap Destroyer was sinking fast with its stern afire ,Bloody Hell ! it could have dropped right on top of me if I had,nt took a look see ,what the hell happened there I,ll never know but I did,nt do anything ,so had to move fast ,this happened about 11am I suppose thats why they saw the scope . Any Skippers had a funny near escape ? What a Brill game this is !! :D

If you're playing stock he probably blew himself up with his own depth charge.

Worst one I had was hiding next to a Yamato that was dead in the water, waiting for some torpedoes to reload so I could finish him off. He decided 30 minutes later that he had enough damage to capsize and sink, so he did - right on top of me. I was below 500 feet when I finally got out from under him.

Wow Sniper so its happened to you, the only reason I had a look with the camera was because as I was watching the blue lines from the sound man showing where the enemy ships were, when I saw a marker indicating that a ship was sunk right next to my boat , so took a look finding out of course the gunboat and the 3DDs ( 2 now) I suspect the gunboat saw me first because shells were splashing round the scope just before I dived . the sunken ship marker was GREY colour, whether that means something I dont know ,maybe it was sunk by faulty Dcs ,Thx to you both , Keep Hunting Killers H:smug:

Gray marker indicates a wreck that you didn't sink, sunk by either own depth charges, collision, or running aground. Get in the middle of a big task force and fire torpedoes in all directions, you'll see a few of those as the survivors ram each other and the escorts trying to get away while the destroyers are coming in to find you. That's why I always have external cam enabled, fun to watch.
