Returning to to SubSim, Feel Like a Newbie

Greetings, all!

I've been away from SubSim for a few years; I had sold my old version of SH4 and now I am back with a new purchase of SH4 and looking to restart a career.

As I am looking to start MOD'ing up slowly, I had intended to start with the MOD-enabler and the TMO (v2.5, is that right)?) that I remember so well. If anyone has any kind siggestions of low-level MODs to increase visuality of gauges, etc., I would very much appreciate a comment or two. Not looking (yet) for bonus mission mods; maybe a good AoB tutorial but I have so much to read in the basic manual.
