[Before reading more of this threat, please be sure you understain I'm not nazi nor do I intend to offend anybody, I just want an imersive and historicaly realistic experience]

I've noticed that there was no radio playlist like there are CBS and WKGB playlist for SH4.

Is there because no one dare put something like this together as to be historicaly acurate we'd have some Nazi's famous speeches and/or propaganda.

If someone could give me some link where I can find some old german song and, let's be nuts, some nazi speeches and propaganda, I'd like to put togeter some 'radio Berlin' stuff.

Again, I am in no way nazi and if my request offend anybody, please let me now and I'll drop my idea.

Thank you.

[EDIT] I was looking into SH5 radio files and I noticed that stock radio was in fact the files of Washington's radio you could find in SH4, is this normal ?

You will find a huge number of German songs from the 1910s through the 1940s, as well as many of the 'Lord Haw-Haw' broadcasts on the first page here. They are made for the SH3 gramaphone, but the format is the same and can easily be put into the radio file system.

Does this mean that the SH3 Gramaphone music downloads when opened, can be put directly into the SH5 Mods folder and added using JSMGE the same as all other mods, without having to do any file editing?

No. The files can be put directly into the SH5 Sound/Gramaphone folder with no editing. To use JSGME they must have the correct file path, which would in this case be File Name/Data/Sound/Gramaphone. I don't know what the path is for the radio because SH5 won't run on my computer so I can't look.

But yes, the files are all the same .ogg format, so they will work with any SH game.

Thank you all.

See, I'm THAT nuts that I rarely use TC and honestly, in SH5, just earing the noise around the sub gave me a feeling of emptyness.

I can't play SH5 yet for the reasons I listed earlier, but with SH3 I use the Das Boot Sound Mod. There are two DBSMs for SH5. I'm not sure if either one uses it, but with the SH3 version there is a 10-minute ambient sound loop with shuffling, coughing, muffled whispers - all the sounds of people moving around inside a submarine. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has put that into SH5.

Your right, there is the Capthelms_SH5_Audio_Mod (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1570) I used it, but I've disabled it as I'm not sure it will be compatible with the sobers' mega mod i'm actualy trying to put togheter.

Thank you Sailor Steve for the information, using S3 music files for SH5. I will now be able to have the Das Boot music, and the gramaphone tracks with those familiar songs that were in the Das Boot film. I might add some of the SH3 radio broadcasts as well.

Will the gramophone mods be compatible with the music from the grey wolves mod?

WELCOME ABOARD! :sunny:

Will the gramophone mods be compatible with the music from the grey wolves mod?
Yes, any music made for the gramaphone will work with any gramaphone from SH3 through SH5. All are in the same formats, either MP3 or .ogg, and all work equally well. Care should be taken not to mix the two, and .ogg seems to work best, but yes, all gramaphones take both types of file.
