A DJ at the local classical station here in Los Angeles shared this little find with the listeners today, so I thought I'd share it with you. It's in Spanish, but I think most people will suss it out...

Yep, that's pretty much how it went. Love the caricatures.

Heh, I was just listening to the Pope Marcellus Mass earlier today. Here it is for your listening pleasure:

Thanks, Takeda, I downloaded the video to listen to it in one sitting later (I'm currently on hold for jury duty). Pieces like this take me back to my Catholic school days. I was one of the "lucky" ones who attended school before the liturgy was changed from Latin to "native languages", so we had to learn Gregorian chants. Our classes were formed into ad hoc choirs for solemn and high mass and other church rituals. We even learned how to read the Gregorian staffs and notations. I no longer remember any of it, but it was an interesting experience...

That was wonderful! Thanks for the link.

Today the mail brought me my new copy of Le Fou sur le Pont, the music of Bernart de Ventadorn, by Camerata Mediterranea. I'm still waiting on the copy of B.B. King's earliest recordings.
