Tabasco CEO Paul McIlhenny dies (http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/24/us/tabasco-ceo-dead/index.html?hpt=hp_t3)
McIlhenny was part of the sixth generation of his family to live on Avery Island and among the fourth generation to make Tabasco, the iconic hot pepper sauce.

And at a young age (lets face it, under 75 is young for us)
I love Tabasco. We have a local hot sauce producer, excellent stuff, but Tabasco still ranks #1 in my cookbook.

The tobasco mini-bottles helped many a MRE go down better. That, and I drank quite a few mini-bottles on a bet or two.
Stuff is excellent on popcorn too, by the way.

They should how they make it on "How it's Made". Really powerful stuff in its purest form!:o
:salute:
Very few people can honestly say they made something that is such a big part of everyday life and is also iconic. RIP...
