I'm running TMO 2.5, RSRDC, and OTC 1.5 and I get what I believe are really early dates for most equipment upgrades. I started on Dec 2, 1941 in a Sargo boat and was given the option to install SJ radar right away. Then I was given a Tambor and then the USS Balao the next patrol, and it's August, 1942. Balao class didn't enter commission until 1943. Is there any fix to these issues?

I use TMO/ RSRD and other mods, but not OTC rite now, but I don't recall those issues. Something sounds strange.

I'm also using quite a few others as well. The only problem I have besides the equipment is a flickering at night when I go to bridge view after time compression. Otherwise the game is very stable and bug free so I don't really want to mess with my mod list.

I've just checked the proper file in OTC and I do see a problem with the Salmon/Sargo class SJ radar start date. I checked OTC's file with TMO's and this one entry is the only difference regarding dates.

To fix, you'll have to remove the OTC for RSRDC v502 from activation in JSGME. Keep it in the MODS folder, just don't have it "activated" in the right hand panel of JSGME. If you have other mods following the OTC mod in JSGME, you'll need to remove them in "order", to get to OTC. Open the OTC mod folder/file structure and follow the folder structure of:

Data/UPCData/UPCUnitsData/UpgradePacks.upc

The UpgradePacks.upc file can be opened with your Windows Notepad app (right click on the file and use the "Send To" menu item......you'll find a "Shortcut to notepad.exe" there, click on it to open the file). Now scroll down the page until you come upon the following entry:

[UpgradePack 28]
ID= UpackSalmonSJRadar
NameDisplayable= SJ Surface Search Radar
FunctionalType= UpFTypeSensorRadar
UpgradePackSlotType= SalmonSurfaceRadars
Type=NULL
UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptionCurrent= NULL, NULL, 0
UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions1=1941-12-01, 1942-10-01, 500
UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions2=1942-10-02, 1943-04-01, 100
UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions3=1943-04-02, 1943-09-01, 0
IDLinkUpgradePackElements= SJRadarApp, NULL, SJRadarAntennaEarlyPorpoise, SJRadarAntennaEarlyPorpoise2, SJRadarAntennaEarlyGato
Info=SJRadarInfo
Notes=SJRadarNotes

Change the date that I've put into orange above to: 1942-06

This will have the SJ radar available in mid year 1942. **Remember to go to the top of the notepad menu "File" heading and "Save" your changes. Activate OTC in JSGME and you're good to go.

As far as your other questions regarding a Balao in mid 1942, I don't have a clue. The Balao shows it's interval to start in early 1943 in both OTC and TMO, both the same date.

What helps is pausing the game before going to the bridge, if that didn't help try press "Ctrl-N".

Thanks for the help guys, glad I wasn't crazy about the sargo. But it is definitely Oct 6 1942and I'm sailing out of Mare's Island in the USS Balao that was given to me as new construction so something is not right. Ah well,gonna start a new career soon.

Didn't someone else have the same problem recently?
