Would you wear them? I think they'd be okay for a gimmic but not for anything more thoughtful, or maybe I'm wrong.

Since childhood I've always wanted a pair of those that claim to be able to see through clothes :)

Back OT though, this is only a matter of time, in fact I'm surprised they haven't already been manufactured, surely it's all down to miniaturisation of component parts.

I think these are great for vacation or a day at the amusement park video taking. More or less a toy.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with everybody else, although I don't have a problem with Google. The concept does look really cool, and I would want to buy a pair, but I think that the novelty of having things pop up in my face when I am walking along would get old pretty fast. They will likely use advertising to offset the cost of the increased network use, so I can see it come to a point that a McDonalds ad pop up every time I am within a few blocks of one of their locations. Imagine that when you are driving.

That driving point is an excellent one Tak...I should imagine they would incorporate a disabler switch for just such an occasion.

But back to the glasses... yeah, what a great idea. It's not enough that the world is full of people walking around completely oblivious to their surroundings and the fact that other people exist in their immediate vicinity and with their attention divided between several mutually exclusive tasks because they are too busy texting or yakking into their cell phones 24/7, let's amp it up to a a whole new level of oblivious and inconsiderate. :nope:
