Hi all,

I have Silent Hunter 3 installed on my new Windows 8 laptop and it has run very stable for the last month. Today I added Longer Repair Times 2.04 and I get the "Silent Hunter 3 not responding" on the final load screen.

My base install:
SH3 v1.4b with no DVD fix
4gb patch
SH3Comander 3.2 with files for GWX 3.0
GWX 3.0

My JSGME MEPs file:
GWX - 16km Atmosphere
GWX - Alternate Loadscreen - Full Circle
GWX - Alternative Flotillas
GWX - Axis Mediterranean Aircraft Skins
GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects
GWX - Integrated Orders
GWX - Late War Sensors Snorkel Antennas
GWX - Lite Harbor Traffic
GWX - Main movie - 'Das Boot'
GWX - Merged Campaign
GWX - No Medals on Crew
GWX - Open Hatch Mod
GWX - VIIC41 Player Sub
Hitman Optics for GWX3 v.1
Ricks_GWX_Rec_Man_Final
LifeBoats&Debris_v4
FM_NewInterior_V1.0
Thomsen's Sound Pack V3.2cg

I added LRT 2.04 full last....when I removed it everything worked fine. I am assuming I should have installed LRT somewhere else other then last. Anyone Know where in the mod list I should place it?

Also, has anyone used the resolution fix successfully with Windows 8?

Thanks....Kelly621

Did you install the Open hatch compatibility mod included in the compatibility patches folder? Also what are your system specs, specifically Ram amount?

The PC is an AMD A6 4400m APU, 6gb memory , 2.7ghz with a ATI Radeon graphics card 1gb memory.

I missed the open hatch compatibility patch .... added the patch as per the readme instructions (after LRT), Now It is freezing on the last loading screen with the message "menu text error"

I have a lot of expertise......just not in computers:)

Hi to all. As you can see I am a newbie in forum and i have no experience in installing mods.I don't know if the compatibility patches for LRT 2.04full should be installed via JSGME or should i just unzip them into the appropriate folder (like: .../data/cfg... or .../data/menu/... etc).
